Make a JPG or PNG copy when your destination requires one. Choose the format for transparency and permitted quality changes, then test the saved result. Conversion does not restore missing detail or guarantee acceptance by every app.
JPG, PNG or WebP · Up to 20 images · 25 MB per image
Or paste an image from your clipboard.
Save batch settings and upload rules on this device. Images are never saved in a preset. Individual image overrides take precedence over batch settings.
Copy the limits from the website you are uploading to. Checks compare these rules with each original and download; they do not change compression settings. A pass covers only the rules entered here, not the receiving website's other checks.
1 KB = 1,000 bytes. To require exact dimensions, set matching minimums and maximums. This tool never enlarges or crops an image to force a pass.
Targets use decimal KB (1 KB = 1,000 bytes). Quality is the maximum for JPG/WebP; we search for the highest tested quality that fits. PNG has lossless optimisation and optional colour reduction, which may alter colours and soft transparency. PNG mode applies to PNG output only. If it still exceeds your target, allow resizing. Any unmet target is clearly marked. JPG uses a white background. Animated images are not supported.
Choose images to get started.
Candidates are made from your original. Compare them before applying; your current download stays available until you choose a replacement. Only candidates passing every entered rule can be applied.
Drag to pan, or scroll with a mouse, trackpad or touch. At 100%, one output pixel equals one CSS pixel. The original is aligned to the output dimensions for comparison.
Auto starts with JPG for opaque images and PNG when transparency is detected. This page uses a maximum JPG quality of 92% and the lossless PNG mode, with no initial target or automatic target-driven resizing. A saved preset or individual override can change those choices.
If you force JPG, transparent areas become white. If you need a transparent logo or sticker, choose PNG and inspect the edges. Auto is a convenience based on detected alpha, not an assessment of which format your destination requires.
PNG output is not the same as an unchanged original file. Browser decoding and colour handling are part of the path; metadata, editing information and the original encoded structure are separate from the rendered pixels.
Renaming .webp to .jpg does not encode a JPG. Use the converted output. The batch ZIP contains successful results, which can still have missed a selected size target or failed an entered upload rule.
Different formats represent the same rendered scene differently. If a 70,000-byte WebP becomes a 110,000-byte JPG, the increase is 40,000 bytes, or about 57.1%. That example is arithmetic, not an expected conversion ratio. A larger PNG may still be useful when transparency or a required workflow determines the choice.
A higher JPG quality requests less aggressive compression but does not guarantee no visible change. If a size rule also applies, try a target and compare the trade-off. Use the 100 KB guide to separate byte compliance from minimum dimensions and readability.
Create new trials from the source rather than the previous JPG. Re-encoding cannot rebuild discarded detail, and repeated lossy saves may add artefacts. Retain an appropriate master for future edits or a different delivery size.
Local conversion means this tool processes the selected image contents in the browser. It does not certify that the whole website has no analytics or network activity. Inspect both visible private information and file properties before disclosure; conversion is not a complete redaction or certified metadata-removal process.
It can avoid another lossy encoding step, but it cannot restore detail that was removed earlier. The result still follows browser decoding and any selected resizing.
JPG output does not support transparency, and this tool fills transparent areas with white. Use PNG when transparency is required and accepted.
No universal guarantee applies. Check the actual destination’s format, dimensions, byte limit and content rules.
No. Animated WebP is rejected; this workflow is for still images.
