Choose the part of your picture to keep. Crop freely or use a fixed ratio, straighten its orientation, and download a new copy. Your original stays unchanged.

Or drop or paste an image. A new image replaces the current crop.
Choose an image to get started.
Drag inside the selection to move it. Drag a corner to resize, or drag outside to draw a new crop. On touch screens, drag with one finger. Use the fields below for precise adjustments. Undo and Redo restore your edits (up to 100 steps). With the canvas focused, arrow keys move by 1 pixel; Shift + arrow moves by 10.
Coordinates refer to the rotated and flipped image. Fixed ratios link width and height, rounded to whole pixels. Cropping removes pixels; it does not resize or add padding.
Preview fits this panel. Inspect your download at its intended display size.
A crop keeps a rectangular part of the original. Choose Square for an avatar, 16:9 for a wide banner, or Freeform to pick your own shape. Ratio presets describe a shape, not a guarantee that a particular service will accept your upload.
Enter crop width and height in pixels, then move the selection over the detail you want to keep. If you need more pixels than the source contains, crop first and use the image resizer afterwards. Enlarging cannot restore missing detail.
Rotate in 90-degree steps or mirror the displayed image. Rotation resets the crop to a centred selection so its coordinates stay valid; flipping keeps the crop box in place. Reset restores the original orientation and full-image selection.
Leave room around faces, text and important details. A preview can look correct while a later platform crops it again. Check the downloaded dimensions and the receiving service's current requirements.
PNG and supported WebP exports preserve transparent areas. JPG fills them with white. Quality affects JPG and WebP encoding; PNG ignores it. A crop can still produce a larger file after re-encoding. Use the image compressor if you also need to reduce encoded size.
Every output is re-encoded, even a full-image crop. Metadata, colour profiles and encoded detail may change. Camera orientation follows this browser's decoded image; check the preview. Keep your original.
The cropper processes image contents in this browser without uploading them for cropping. The website still loads shared scripts and services. Reloading or clearing loses your current selection; downloaded files stay on your device.
Inputs are limited to 25 MiB, 40 megapixels and 16,000 pixels per side. Output is limited to 40 megapixels and 12,000 pixels per side. Smaller limits may be needed on devices with less memory. Animated PNG/WebP, GIF, SVG, HEIC and AVIF are not supported. Read our Privacy Policy or report a problem with the file type, browser and settings.
It reduces pixel dimensions to the selected rectangle. It does not scale the retained content. File size also depends on format and encoding.
Use Undo or Redo to restore previous edits, or adjust the selection and prepare a new download: each crop starts from your loaded original. Reset restores the full image. Your original file is never overwritten.
This cropper handles one image at a time so you can position each selection. Download your result before choosing another image.
