Switch between JPG, PNG and WebP without changing pixel dimensions. Choose how to handle transparent areas, compare the result, and download a new copy. Your originals stay unchanged.
Still JPG, PNG and WebP · Up to 20 images · 25 MiB per image
Or paste an image when a text field is not selected. Total input limit: 200 MiB.
PNG and WebP can preserve existing transparency. Converting an opaque image does not remove its background.
Use #RGB or #RRGGBB. Only transparent and partly transparent areas reveal this colour; existing opaque pixels stay in place.
Quality controls lossy encoding, not a percentage of original detail retained. A setting of 100 does not guarantee lossless JPG or WebP.
Every image is re-encoded, including files already in the selected format. File size may increase. PNG ignores the quality control. To change dimensions, use the image resizer; for a file-size target, use the image compressor.

Checkerboard indicates transparent areas. Both panels fit the available space; this is not a pixel-for-pixel quality comparison. Inspect your download at its intended size.
Use the image rotator and flipper for quarter turns, custom angles, horizontal or vertical flips, live preview and batch export.
JPG is a lossy format suited to many photographs, but it cannot keep transparency. PNG uses lossless pixel encoding and can keep transparent areas; photographs can become much larger as PNG. WebP supports transparency and often provides useful web delivery sizes, but check the format requirements of the service receiving your file.
A format change does not restore detail lost earlier. Turning a JPG into PNG prevents new lossy PNG encoding; it cannot recover the JPG's discarded detail. This converter's WebP output uses the browser's quality-based encoder, not a guaranteed lossless mode.
To add your name or a logo to a prepared picture, use the image watermark tool with live positioning and batch export.
For PNG and WebP, choose Preserve transparency or fill it with a solid colour. JPG always uses the chosen background colour, initially white. Partly transparent edges blend with that background, so inspect logos and cutouts against the colour you plan to use.
This is not a background remover: a white wall or any other opaque part of a picture remains. To change the composition first, use the image cropper.
The output keeps the browser-decoded image dimensions, including supported camera orientation. Each result reports input and output formats, dimensions and encoded bytes. A format conversion can increase file size even when the picture looks the same.
All files in a run use the same settings and start from their originals. Changing settings removes earlier conversion downloads so you can prepare fresh results. Cancel keeps completed results and waits for the current browser operation to finish. ZIP includes successful, available results only, with a unique batch number in each filename.
Selected image contents are processed here in this browser without uploading them for conversion. The website still loads scripts and shared services. Reloading or clearing loses the current batch; it does not delete originals or files you have downloaded.
Limits: 20 files, 25 MiB each and 200 MiB combined input; 40 megapixels and 16,000 pixels per side for source headers; output keeps dimensions with a 12,000-pixel side limit and a 200 MiB cap on available results. Actual device memory may require smaller batches. Animated PNG/WebP, GIF, SVG, HEIC and AVIF are not supported inputs.
Re-encoding may change colour profiles, metadata and appearance. This tool does not promise complete metadata removal. Keep originals and check the result. Read the Privacy Policy or report a problem with the browser, input type and output settings.
No. Renaming .png to .jpg does not change the file's encoded contents. This tool encodes the requested format and checks its type and dimensions before offering a download.
JPG cannot store transparency. Transparent areas are blended with your selected solid colour. Choose PNG or WebP with Preserve transparency if you need a transparent copy.
No. It keeps the browser-decoded dimensions. Sources whose dimensions exceed the converter's output limits need to be resized first.
Yes. Download names include a unique batch number, so separate files with the same input name have distinct ZIP entries.
