With this enabled, the recommended border takes precedence over a smaller custom margin.

Width includes the clear border. A 0.4 mm module is a practical starting target for close-up scanning; distance, paper, and cameras affect results.

Enter valid content to calculate print sizes.

For SVG, set this width in your design or print app. Always test the actual printed size.

    Printable signs

Templates change the wording, not the QR content. QR width is set in the Print assistant. Wi-Fi passwords are not printed as text.

Checks run locally in your browser.

Read the automatic check result, then test the exported image and its intended action with a phone. Ordinary image downloads can remain available when a check fails.

    Generated directly in your browser.

    File extensions are added automatically.

PNG downloads include the DPI chosen in Print assistant. Use Download print PNG to match your chosen physical width.

SVG is recommended for printing because it can be scaled without losing quality. These are static QR codes: their encoded content cannot be changed after downloading. The QR code itself has no expiry; linked content must remain available.

Plan a maintainable menu or document link

For a café menu, prefer a public page you can keep at the same address over a temporary document-preview link. Test it while signed out and over mobile data, then decide who will maintain the page and domain. A static image can remain unchanged while that webpage is updated, but hosting and access still need maintenance.

Keep a readable page address or another route alongside an important sign. Review the scan status rather than treating an enabled download button as proof of a pass: ordinary images can remain downloadable for manual testing. The image check and the visitor’s ability to use the destination are separate acceptance checks.

Choose the action you want a scan to open

The Website tool above accepts a complete HTTP or HTTPS address. Use the type cards for other actions: display a note, join Wi-Fi, prepare an email, open a phone number, or draft an SMS. The WhatsApp, contact, and location tools provide fields for those specific tasks.

Make a website code and check the destination

    1. Paste the final page address, including https:// or http://. A menu or booking page is usually more useful than a general homepage.
    2. Open the address yourself and confirm that visitors can use it without your private login.
    3. Choose a preset, or adjust colours, shapes, and an optional logo. Keep the pattern easy to distinguish from its background.
    4. Wait for the scan-check result. Payload verified means the rendered QR decodes to the address you entered; it does not check whether the website is safe, reachable, or correct.
    5. Choose a file name and download an image. For a sign, set its width in Print assistant, then use Printable signs.

    Static links, subscriptions, and expiry

This generator puts your destination directly into the code. It does not route scans through a managed redirect, add scan tracking, or let you replace the encoded URL after printing. There is no QR subscription or built-in expiry. The destination can still stop working if its page is removed, access changes, or its domain expires. Keeping the same URL while updating your own webpage is different from editing the QR code.

Pick the right export for your job

PNG is convenient for documents and digital graphics; SVG keeps the QR drawing scalable in a design application. Ordinary PNG downloads use the selected DPI but retain the image size chosen in Advanced settings. Download print PNG calculates a pixel size from your requested centimetres and DPI. A4 PDF signs use a fixed 300 DPI layout; print them at Actual size or 100%.

Need many website codes? The bulk generator accepts up to 100 URLs, verifies each image, and packages the successful files with a row report.

    Questions about this tool

Does a verified code guarantee the page will open?

No. The image check compares decoded content with your input. Test the destination separately and scan the downloaded or printed code with the phones your visitors use.

Are my website address and logo uploaded for generation?

The QR tools generate and check images in your browser. Opening a destination or contacting us is a separate action. Website analytics and cookie choices are explained in the privacy pages.

Can I make a QR code for an online PDF or menu?

Yes: enter the public link to the PDF or menu. This tool does not host the document, so keep that link available.
